| History/Background; |
Luke introduces himself as an 'Ace Detective' whose sole purpose in life is hunting down his nefarious prey, the dastardly thief Mask*DeMasque. This is a bit of sham, however, since Luke actually discovered DeMasque's identity after his first theft, and was secretly sending him blackmail letters along with detailed plans for his consequent heists. Luke received the items that DeMasque stole, and sent DeMasque money in return for them. For a while, Luke basked in the fame he gained as the 'famous' Ace Detective; he even returned his fourth item to its original owner in exchange for more fame and the reward of a beautiful, large red diamond which he boasts on his right hand, even returning his fourth item to its original owner and gained a red diamond as a reward. When his crime is discovered, he finds himself being blackmail too, and resolves this by killing his blackmailer. He then sets DeMasque (Ron DeLite) up to take the fall, pretends to be the 'real' Mask*DeMasque, and attempts to get himself found guilty on the charges of grand larceny to establish an alibi for himself (ie. he couldn't have been the murderer, because the murder happened at the same time as his heist). His plans are eventually foiled and he is imprisoned for murder. |
| Personality; |
Luke is arrogant, proud, and seems to genuinely believe that there is no one who could possibly be better than he is at anything. He is incredibly self-confident, will brag at length about his stupid mistakes, and tends to lapse into mild, romantic purple prose when describing his own accomplishments. He's also a huge attention-seeker and loves to maintain that he is an amazing detective. Luke's catchphrase is "Zvarri!"-- though no one really knows what that means. |
